Post Kozaburo's Current Site...

#1  Nik 28 Dec 2007 01:14

From a recent '3d blog spot'...

http://117.120.51.129/
Kozaburo's working URL. His other one is not working so well.
---

Yup, this works: I've just collected Rei hair for P4, which needs both Rei & ReiP4 downloads, and the 'Alice' hair referenced by a figure...

As neither his old site nor its mirror are working at all, there's a rash of 'bad link' or equivalent in Japanese across the PoserVerse.

D'uh, as the URL is just code, even Google can't find him directly...

Good trick, that !!

Um, on my travels, I've also collected a heap of virtual footwear. I still find it amazing that the neat boots supplied in P4 will NOT fit Posette without major tweaking...

Pixel Arcana, Royloo etc etc all conform very well, thank you, so I think I'll start modelling by studying their CR2s, then reworking some of the freebies intended for V3, A3 and Kururu...

Post Mylocka Hair...

#2  Nik 28 Dec 2007 14:27

Um, I have not yet reached those Koz files, I've been downloading and installing the Mylochka hair styles for P4F-- made in P5 !!

After the third or fourth of the dozen, I knew where to put M's files in P4. When I work out why*one* thumbnail is 'shrug' and the rest look blank, I'm sure I will have learned something important...

Those 'Classic' styles do look good, though !! As a quick test, I put an M UpDo, Taururu's outfits and 'StarTrek' black boots on a pair of Posettes for 'Naughty&Nice' twins, added a third Posette in a Royloo costume. My 3Ghz/3Gb CAD_PC didn't even blink...

After some hasty shopping for non-virtual victuals, I gotta do 'Forensic Poserology' on PJ's Wings and HelloWorld's BlueMan to fix their file-paths...

Then I gotta tweak Posette to look 1/8 th more like Aiko...

Post Hmm...

#4  Nik 28 Dec 2007 19:09

Hi, neither the babes1 nor babes2 sites will open for me today, but the .jp is okay.

May depend on bandwidth, service provider, phase of Moon etc etc...

If at first...

Thanks for your heads up.
There are problems with digitalbabes2 since month.
Kozaburo has this working mirrors, at least, but a lot of Yamato's stuff shown at Poser++ and Costume Festival(Tenten, Ranran etc.) are hosted on digitalbabes2 server, too. They don't seem to be avaliable at all at time...

I am having the same problems with the site but it might be at some curtain hours. I did get into the japan site and got all of the things you spoke of.

Post Speaking Of Mylochka Hair...

#7  Nik 29 Dec 2007 00:54

Um, I came to conclusion that P4 just can't read a 'piccy' RSR made in later version. Eventually, I rolled my own using P4W head, a 91x91 'external render' window and Ricardo Kawecki's neat PNG/BMP to RSR utility, found on Renderosity freebies...

So far, I've got a dozen Mylochka styles unzipped, with only Helga Deluxe 'wrong'. Helga is fine, but the Deluxe is missing hair across top of scalp. Checked it three ways, checked filename and paths are right in freshly unzipped HR2, no joy. Looks like *both* must be loaded together, but that's impossible, innit ?? Probably some feature of P5 materials that is not back-compatible...

Not to worry...

I'm re-learning old tricks like how to find my way around the Runtime directories, how to find and check --and fix-- OBJ and material references in CR2, PP2 & HR2 files etc etc...

Incidentally, is there anything that reads an RSR like CR2 Editor does xx2 files ??

... I remember with Helga, the transmap for the scalp must be loaded manually. Without it the scalp appears completely invisible

Post Transmap...

#9  Nik 29 Dec 2007 12:55

Transmap ? I'll try that !!
---

Spent a long, long time last night trying to get Mechanismo's 'Chrome Room' to work. CR2 struggled as pointed at F drive. When I tweaked it in CR2Edit, the Chrome Room became a heap of junk...

After a while, I realised I had *two* versions of CR2Edit, the penultimate .x1 which is okay, and the last .x2 which re-arranges saved CR2s for readability, but may confuse Poser. Guess which one I'd used on the Room...
