Pangor, my pleasure.

For Near Eastern ancient history the Oriental Institue of Chicago is found here:
http://oi.uchicago.edu/OI/default.html

Another source is Fordham University covering Mespopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Persia Isreal, the Hellanistic World, and Rome:  http://www.fordham.edu/halsall/ancient/asbook.html

For Irish and Celtic History (part of my ancestry), with many myths and legends:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~irlkik/ihm/iremaps.htm

For Egypt and the pyamids, Dr Hawass, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities can be found here:  http://guardians.net/hawass/index.htm

The Arizona State University WWW Virtual Library has links to other aspects of the study of the ancient world. The Table of contents is available in several languages.  http://archnet.asu.edu/

I have other links, but the above are packed with information and more links so they would make a good starting point.

I was interested too in Mesopotamian miths, I know the saga of Gilgamesh and actually I watched an uncommon japanese cartoon named "Gilgamesh" and I've followed the saga of "Nippur" from the city of Lagash on a magazine, we've already talked about him with rayera in another topic, search it...

You know, after reviewing my evidence, I may be mistaken in my assumption, so will keep holding my tongue since I don't know what it is talking about.

I'll let you know if my tongue changes it's mind.
