Post Uninstalling Poser... and all my games... and...

#1  Ozymandias Jones 02 Dec 2003 03:54

It's finally happened! The hard drive is full. It's time to fix it all up and find some space. I tried sifting through the files and folders and selectively deleting from the Poser librarys... yeah, right! ](*,)

Same with all the other stuff. Much easier to delete it all and start from scratch.

Oh, well. Here we go. If I'm a but more absent than usual, you'll all know why  :bigrinnin:

Wish me luck  8-[

ozy, remember the runtime Poser folder is a pack of all object model, geometries texture, props.. if you want you can make a copy of the runtime folder with the subfolder, and resore it in the next Poser installation. Poser 4 runtime for Poser 4 and Poser 5 runtime for Poser 5...
Actualy i m working to a tool for switch to one runtime in another runtime...
i called it multi-runtime.... but at this moment is in pre pre pre pre pre alpha :-)
is interesing if you have a standard runtime with your objects and if you want a test-runtime to for the new objects :-)

sorry this post is OT in this thread :-)
but Xmas is here :-) don't kill me :)

Thanks for the tip Ema. I had forgotten that. I'll burn it to a CD and put it back if I want it the way it was.

That's what friends are for :)

Good luck!! I had to delate my Poser too a few months ago, but that was beacause my computer crached, not beacause it was full.

Ugh.. removing Poser is like removing a limb, especially later when you realised how much you had installed  [-(

One big problem. At the moment I run on a Sony Lap top, HD size is fixed and no room for more :-({|=

Oh, to have my old maxi-tower Compaq, with four super-fast Hard Drives, from a few years ago when I was dabbling with digital film editing :) those were the days.

But then, Poser and all my 'stuff' comes with me wherever I go
