Challenge 004 - The Last Days of Autumn

The Theme for our fourth challenge is The Last Days of Autumn!!

This is a quick or short challenge which will only run for one week!!!
There may be several more coming over the next weeks to get you in Xmas mood.

The Details

- Challenge will run from November 26 to December 2, 2009
- General Rules apply
- Base file - Elaine for Posette Download
- Figure to use: Posette with Elaine Morph
- Color Theme to use: see picture below!

Create a beautiful, nice forest scene with Elaine starring as Elf/Fae. She can be dancing, playing flute, hunting, just wandering thru the forest or whatever comes to your mind. But no portrait / head shot only!!

It should be a complex scene and you also should remember to use DOF - Depth of Field to give the scene that 'realistic' touch!!!

This is the required file to use - Meet Elaine!!

And here's your color theme

Please note: the above picture is no stock resource!!!

You'll find great background stock over at DeviantArt.com as well as some handy brushes.

HAVE FUN!!!!

Depth of field? ack... I still can't figure our the depth of field function.  Every render I do has my figure all blurry and behind them in focus.

Then do it in postwork. I usually create my backgrounds this way: I render the background in parts and then blur them in relation to their distance.

I think I'll quit on this one ...
Been thinking of going out with my camera to take some nice shots for inspiration and background, but it's raining since days, no light, no colors...
On the other hand this challenge is more one for the "postworkers", and, as you already know, I'm not . It's not my ambition. I love making portraits, that's what I really enjoy. Elaine is a beauty, she deserves it

If you need backgrounds you should check DeviantArt.com for free Stock images.

I found several good one over there which one could use directly, though I combined several one to get the look I want.

But we also have enough Poser trees available to create forests (at least i have enough), so it shouldn't be too hard to do without postwork. RDNA has several forest autumn scenes too (eg Microcosm, and they're still 50% off)...

And if you have no autumn leaves on your trees, one only needs a new map/transmap (leaves files  are also over at DA). I did that with the DAZ Cherry Tree which works beautifully.
