Yes, we have well working algorithms since decades. The difference is, they need less resources and work pretty well since the beginning. AI is a toddler, still , and it's very hungry.

At this point, it looks like automated attempts to slip through the account creation process (no doubt as a first step to future mass-spamming) rather than anyone attempting to actually test their bot's skill at interaction. I don't know anything about website management, can you block their IP or something like that?
I could block the whole IP range they are using, but that could affect innocent users, too.
They tend to change the range, so it would start all over again soon, anyway.
As it is, it makes me feel "important"
