Hi, I'm Posy, welcome to Posetteforever
This site is about computer art, and how to make it with few or no money at all , so it is dedicated to Posette , that is simple and beautiful .
We are a group of friends that use to meet here for their fun , talking of art , sticking their pictures and sharing freebies each other . We encourage you to join this community as an active member...

In order to access all the site , you've to register so that we can control our bandwidth usage.
A working email address is needed for the registration, we're not commercially involved in anything so it's safe and it won't be used if not for sending you notifications of replies to your posts, comments to your pictures and notifications of new private messages in your inbox.
Posetteforever has no stores and no banners , everything that you find here is free and nothing can be posted on this site for pushing the users to buy something for their art . We can give you only some hints for the basic tools . There are no ratings , we value your art and we will try to give you some suggestions to improve it , even if the "pros" here are very few ...
This is not a store so we don't search for costumers , we search for friends . We're not interested in big numbers , for us it's enough to spend some time together ...
Our staff is not made of mercenaries so in order to easy their work a lot of email services has been banned, because they are the most used by comment spammers and harvesters , we're also part of the Project Honey Pot for helping tracking their activity .

You can contact an admin at if you have problems .. and we'll (maybe I'm sorry!) find a solution .

If you're a registered user and you're having problems logging in Mmmh... (thinking) please use the same address .
Sometimes all is due to a cookies problem, you can delete them in this page .
If you've a slow connection we suggest you to choose the Lo-Fi Version (link is always available at the bottom of the page).

Thank you

Patchworks !
Patchworks ! Posted  Tuesday, 27 December 2005, 12:26 AM By Tormie

Hi friends :heartbeat: !

Here is a new project to have some fun: I called it patchworks and the idea is that an users can start a post on this forum with a picture attached and some rules.

Who wants to partecipate has to take this picture and complete it with his or her own inspiration and then post it as a reply  ...

I thought about some rules and limitations, these ones due to the copyright so here they are:

-The format of the picture to be patchworked must be jpg and easy to be used as a background in Poser, so the background must be white.

-Optionally one can also attach a zipped file with the same picture in psd (photoshop) format so that it' will be easy to be cut using the alpha channel (simply save the picture from Poser using the psd format and you'll save the correct alpha channel). However the jpg picture must be present in order to be shown in the presentation.

-The author of the original picture give the permission to use his or her picture for using it as a base for a final picture, the author of the final picture does not have the permission to share the picture outside of Posetteforever, he or she can do it with the written permission of the original author when he or she show the picture to be patchworked. In any case the original author must be cited in the description of the picture.

Ok, the rules, as usual , are not crystal clear but I'll start the game myself so watch my post and it will be easy to understand.

It's a test project: if it will become popular we'll create a special gallery in the album and all but for now we'll use the attachments in the forum :) ...

Have fun :yeah:

You need to make a gallery for them and post the credits with everybody involved. Sounds like alot of fun but the next person that is to take the work needs to post just after the picture in the forum that they want to do it so it will not get crossed with someone elses work.   Really great fun. :thumb:

You know, what might be fun is that the second person doenst finish the picture but only adds another element to it and it moves on to the next person who in turn adds another element (For example somone adds a picture of a dog and the next person adds a ball, and so on and so forth until someone finially adds in the background image.)You dont have to go with it but it would be a fun idea.
